How the three books connect

The series follows Naomi across different stages of her story, so the two reading orders offer different experiences. Publication order begins with Finding Home, where the DNA discovery introduces the central questions of identity, family, and belonging. Before We Found Home then returns to an earlier period, adding context for Naomi's life in Alabama, her relationship with Kofi, and the move to New Mexico. Where Grace Leads closes the series by focusing on broken trust, accountability, compassion, and the choices involved in moving forward.

Chronological readers can start with the prequel to follow events in story order. Publication-order readers encounter the family discoveries first and then look back at the earlier choices that helped shape them. Either approach leads to the same final novel, where the series' themes of faith, family, forgiveness, responsibility, and new beginnings come together.
